HOW WE MAKE IT HAPPEN
To ensure long-term conservation in our Guanacas Nature Reserve, we carry out a variety of activities such as the ones described below.
JOIN US AND WORK TOGETHER FOR THIS CAUSE!
OPTIONS TO CONTRIBUTE

FOREST RANGER
Our forest rangers are the guardians of this territory. By supporting this program, you contribute to sustaining their work and allow them to serve as role models for the communities surrounding the Guanacas Reserve, promoting alternative employment opportunities and environmental awareness.
REPLICATING BEST EXPERIENCES

ENVIRONMENTAL COMPENSATION
We develop compensation plans linked to environmental obligations, as well as voluntary tree-planting activities to help reduce the carbon footprint. This allows you to mitigate your impact both individually and at the corporate level.

NATIVE TREES
We propagate our native species by collecting seeds from the forest and carrying out the pre-germination processes required for each species, which are then used in our reforestation programs within the reserve.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
We conduct environmental workshops with local schools and also have the capacity to replicate them in other places, bringing a message of conservation and love for nature to many more people, especially children and young people.
ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE RESERVE

ECOTOURISM
We welcome anyone interested in nature tourism and in exploring the natural potential of our reserve, from university research groups to visitors seeking a camping experience and meaningful interactions with our forest rangers.

BIRDWATCHING
Within the reserve, we have recorded 133 bird species , including the Chachalaca , Paisa Wood Sparrow , Rufous -collared Sparrow, Stiles' Tapaculo , and Flame-rumped Cacique , as well as a wide variety of hummingbirds . Come to our reserve to see them!

GUANACAS EXPEDITION
We promote biological research and have our doors open to those who wish to do their internships in our reserve , allowing them to achieve their goals and continue expanding knowledge of the High Andean forests .

These spaces allow for the participation of interdisciplinary groups, providing an enriching experience that fosters learning and connection with nature through diverse perspectives.

Each visitor chooses the species they wish to plant, after a brief introduction explaining the importance of each one. Planting is carried out using a suitable technique that ensures the tree can grow and thrive over time.

We have extensive experience in supporting your company in complying with the environmental obligations established by the competent authority, derived from the development of your projects.
We offer the implementation and development of compensation plans, as well as the maintenance and monitoring of plantings. We also prepare reports and GDBs, ensuring their acceptance by the environmental authority. We provide consulting services throughout the entire project lifecycle, guaranteeing compliance and the success of the implemented actions.
We offer the design and implementation of environmental compensation plans, as well as the maintenance and monitoring of restoration plantings. We also prepare technical reports and GDB documentation, ensuring full compliance with environmental authority requirements. Our team provides guidance throughout the entire project cycle, guaranteeing the effectiveness and successful completion of all implemented actions.

We manage all the procedures required to obtain forest use permits, supporting you from the very beginning of the project. We work with you during the design phase to minimize tree removal as much as possible and to identify opportunities for integrating existing trees into the project layout.
We collaborate closely with you to prepare the forest use report and a tailored compensation proposal, always in full compliance with the regulations established by the environmental authorities. Together, we can ensure your project is more sustainable and environmentally responsible.

It consists of the collection and relocation of plants that grow on other plants without causing them harm, such as mosses, lichens, orchids, and bromeliads which may be affected by human intervention or habitat alterations. This process is carried out to preserve these species by relocating them to suitable environments where they can continue to thrive.

…so they can continue their development without jeopardizing their survival, thus contributing to biodiversity conservation and ecological balance.
This process includes the identification, classification, and assessment of species, as well as the analysis of their distribution, behavior, and role in the ecosystem. The importance of characterization lies in the fact that it provides key information for conservation and environmental management, allowing for a better understanding of an area's biodiversity, the identification of endangered species, and informed decisions regarding their protection. Furthermore, it facilitates the implementation of more effective restoration strategies.

These living fences not only provide protection and boundary definition but also play a key role in soil conservation, biodiversity protection, and erosion control. Additionally, live fences act as natural barriers that help reduce wind impact, improve air quality, and offer shelter and food to a variety of species, contributing to ecological balance and overall sustainability.
